Chuy Sandoval

Son Jarocho

Chuy Sandoval (he/him) is a musician and teacher from East L.A. In 2010, he received a Bachelor of Music degree in Guitar Performance from CSULA, and since 2011 has been performing with the East L.A. based Jarocho/Chicano group Cambalache. As a member of Cambalache and of the Jaranerx Community of Southern California, Chuy has facilitated Son Jarocho and Fandango workshops which include playing the jarana, singing, and dancing traditional music from Veracruz, Mexico. Since 2019, Chuy has also co-hosted the radio show Jarochelo en Radio on KQBH in Los Angeles.
