Tezkatl Akatl (she/her) has been the Cabeza de Danza/ Head Dancer for Kalpulli Temachtia Quetzalcoatl since its inception. As the Head Dancer, Tezkatl regularly leads weekly ensayo or practice, schedules Vientena dinners for the kalpulli every 20 days, organizes seasonal ceremonies, collaborates with other danza groups in the areas and has facilitated the Danza Mexikah Step Class, made possible through Tia Chucha’s Centro, for over 10 years.
